Contributions to burning national issues require tact and carefulness, hence sound intellectual capacity, humaneness and balanced logic become of the essence.
Thus, submissions tainted with mischief makes one wonder whether the world is meant to revolve around the shenanigans of unstable persons whose rise to prominence, politically speaking does require questioning or better still, swept into the gutters of infamy, where it actually belongs. Appearing ubiquitous, yet nowhere in particular is self destructive.
It therefore follows that OUK’s submissions on the forthcoming 2023 Presidential election smacks of high calibre self interest and must be thrown overboard into the political shithole for rabid rodents to feast on because of it’s opprobrious stench!
Double speak, if a political leader must be viewed as firm, must be avoided, as such diminishes one’s credibility. When one is neither here nor there and demonstrates readiness to side-step or outrightly betray the sensibilities of a section of the people, then it leaves much to be desired.
Recall, OUK said, in view of the forthcoming Presidential elections, he would not mind being a sweeper in Aso Rock if Ahmed Lawan, the incumbent Senate President becomes C-in-C, citing all manners of seemingly politically correct reasons. He was vehement then, asserting equity, insisting that if his APC does not zone their Presidential ticket to the South East, then the North East must have same.
Now, ‘Tinubu’ has become his messiah and Ndi Igbo must wait for another time!
Marketing one’s preferred Candidate is solely one’s business but making your own kith and kin look stupidest because of their legitimate aspiration, as though one has made himself an outcast, thus denying his own roots is a big kettle of fish!
Jacob, the progenitor of Israel described Reuben as “unstable as water”, though he was “the strength of my youth”! Is OUK the present day Reuben?
One is urged to ask when the right time would come for a Nigerian of Igbo extraction to emerge as President or is Orji Kalu’s “another time” ad infinitum?
While it is his right to frontally or indirectly jostle or position himself for whatever tickles his political fancy, he must not make himself a laughing stock in Igbo land.
Presenting Peter Obi’s candidacy as regional, that is, not having the blessings of other geo-configurations that make up Nigeria is not only rancid but also nonsensical.
Pray, 70 percent of the country’s population is made up of the youth and across the length and breadth of the land, Nigerian youths have defied the odds in their various marches of solidarity for Obi, who himself have asked not to be voted for because of where he comes from or his religion.
Where then is OUK drawing his inferences from?
A man who was once seen as the voice of Ndi Igbo, with the befitting title of “Ahaejiagamba”, that is, a name renowned even in a strange land, must not make himself an anathema in his. OUK is breaking hearts in the name of partisan politics and pretends(?) he does not know or feel anything.
He has seemingly maintained silence as to who is the authentic Guber standard bearer of his APC in his home State in order not to hurt the sensibilities of persons; why wouldn’t he do same as concerns Tinubu, who many have fingered as the main reason he was incarcerated sometime? Or does OUK pretend he does not know who was behind what?
He (OUK) still desires to be President at some point of his political life and shall be reminded he is unfit for such because he does not believe any Igbo man other than himself can aspire or ascend such a position, or so it seems.
OUK is still my Dede but I have blatantly refused to accept this tilt of his, hook line and sinker. Moreso, he is not holding anyone by the balls to do his bidding at all cost.
For the records, Peter Obi performed relatively better than him as Governor and meanwhile, unless God does not will it, Obi has the blessings of even spirits to win the 2023 Presidential election.
This is not a call for OUK not to return to the Senate. Nothing happens till God ordains it but for him to have a rethink because there will always be life after politics. Posterity will always be there to judge.
OUK is a prominent Nigerian of Igbo extraction but must be wary of whomever he might want to impress because his utterances does not need any Semantics expert to dissect. A n’esi n’ulo mara nma puo ama. Charity begins at home.
What is said is known but what is unsaid is stronger. Atuoro omara, omara. Mana atuoro ofeke, ofenye isi n’ofia.
