Nigeria, a British colony has been plunged into serious problem. This is further buttressed by the level of political decay perpetuated by political actors, insecurity caused by the activities of bandits, unknown gunmen among other problems.
After observing the primaries so far conducted in Nigeria this May where naira and dollars have continued to “rain”, I make bold to assert that there is no hope for the poor man in Nigeria – the most populous black nation on earth.
The raining of dollars and naira in primaries conducted by the leading political parties in the country, has further forced the masses to develop a different mindset as to what has caused the hardship in the land these while and have come to the conclusion that the political class have been hoarding monies meant for the masses and their well-being.
Before the primaries of political parties, there had been overbearing hardship in the land which even the political class alluded to the drop in the prices of oil at the global market that adversely affected Nigeria as a mono economy. One will be quick to ask, even in the midst of their admittance, what have they done to make the country rely less on oil and shift focus to other aspects that can reshape the economy of the country?
The most annoying, is that the political class in order to keep the amassing of wealth going, have resorted to positioning of their sons, daughters among others to take after them in various States so that the looting spree will continue when they have vacated office, yet the poor masses grapple to make ends meet and catch up with basic necessities of life.
With the raining of dollars at the ongoing primaries of political parties, there is no disputing the fact that the political class, have sworn to be in power no matter what it takes so as to build castles in the air where their generations yet unborn will live. None of them considers the well-being of the citizenry.
Even in the midst of the cries by workers, pensioners, school teachers in States like Abia, leaders have turned deaf ears, while they continue to spend the collective resources of the citizenry on their political and selfish ambitions.
Our society today is facing serious threats ranging from activities of bandits, unknown gunmen, insecurity challenges among others, yet the individuals peddling crimes have failed to turn their attention to the political class who have brought untold hardship on the people.
The poor masses who suffer to make ends meet, cannot continue to suffer while those who loot the country’s treasure to fund their campaigns among others, continue to lavish monies meant for the development of the country.
It is however, not wise to appeal to the political class at this point to desist from their actions of robbing the poor masses of what rightfully belongs to them, because they have sold their hearts to the devil. One can only in the midst of looting by the political class, urge them to remember that there is God, who pays everyone according to his deeds. The naira rain is way too much, and, in the purview of the public.
As for The delegates…Hmmmm! The country has indeed been mortgaged.
It was indeed “naira rain” rendezvous. Except a Daniel comes to judgement and rescue, Nigerians will remain impoverished. Imagine the show of shame at the Primaries
