A Governorship hopeful in Abia State under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha, has re-affirmed that he will declare state of emergency in the education sector to enable out of School children go back to school and acquire sound education if elected Governor.
Bishop Onuoha, who stated this in his 2022 Children’s Day message, said Children deserve the best education, adding that no serious government can make significant progress without securing a brighter future for children.
The Co-Chair Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, noted that the number of out of School Children has become alarming, stressing that it is imperative to address issues forcing these future leaders out of school by holistically carving out programmes that will give them hope and bring them back to school.
He stated that education is encapsulated in his 11 point agenda which he reeled out on the 20th of May, 2022 while officially declaring his intention to run for Abia Guber under the platform of the ADC, pointing out that these future leaders litter the streets hawking and doing other menial jobs while their colleagues are in school.
While felicitating with Children all over the globe, Bishop Onuoha urged them not to waver in their quest to achieve greatness, reminding them that success comes as a result of diligence and hard work.
He charged them to shun acts that are capable of diverting their attention while in School, just as he expressed optimism of a brighter and secured future for the Nigerian Child.
In his word, “I celebrate you today, young Nigerians. While I bring you greetings on this auspicious day, I also implore you to remain focussed as there is light at the end of the tunnel”.
Happy Children’s Day.
From Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha
Governorship Aspirant of ADC.
