Reports claim that Deputy Governor of Abia State who is contesting the 2023 Governorship primary election under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, reportedly broke down in tears while pleading with the elected 3 Man Ad-hoc delegates from Abia North extraction to vote for him.
During the meeting which was held at Umuahia residence of the former SSG, Dr. Eme Okoro, the delegates were said to have rejected his plea insisting that he has done nothing for them and the zone from when he was the speaker till date.
It was gathered that they called him an unproductive and selfish politician who only remembered them because he wants to become the Governor.
It was further gathered that one of the delegates, Hon Ikerionwu Okarimea from Bende, told him that they won’t vote for him because he has done nothing to merit their vote and that Bende delegates have taken a decision to vote for Prof Uchenna Ikonne,
He reportedly broke down in tears and promised to change if they vote for him.
