Members of the National Association of Undergraduate Students in Nigeria (NAUSIN) Abia State chapter on Wednesday, gathered at the entrance of Vision Africa Radio, demanding that the President, Vision Africa International, and Co-chair, Interfaith Dialogue Forum for Peace, Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha joins the race to become the next Governor of Abia State come 2023
According to the undergraduates who also presented an open letter signed by the state chairman, Comrade Onyekachi Umunnabuike, State Secretary Comrade Johnson Udo and the National Convener, Comrade Michael Ezeh, the letter is sequel to a communique written and signed by the representatives of Church leaders telling political parties to use the right manner in choosing a credible candidate to become the next governor of Abia state.
However, the students equally went to other church leaders in the state to present their demand asking Bishop Onuoha to run.
The letter listed the numerous achievements and accomplishments of Bishop Sunday Onuoha, which they affirmed, are the reasons the association is ready to vote Bishop Onuoha as the next governor of Abia state.
The undergraduates reiterated that Bishop Onuoha remains the only person who can transform Abia state.
Michael Ezeh who spoke on behalf of the association, promised that its members will follow the right manner and get their PVCs ready for the upcoming 2023 elections.
Responding, the Station Manager of Vision Africa Radio, Mr Charles Maduabuchi Iheanacho who received the letter from the undergraduates, promised to deliver the letter to Bishop Onuoha and thanked them for identifying Bishop Onuoha as a qualified personality to vie for 2023 Governorship post in Abia State.
