A renowned philanthropist and politician, Hon. Erondu Erondu Jnr. on Friday, handed over 10 built bungalows to their owners as part of his philanthropic gesture geared towards ameliorating the sufferings of the less privileged.

The hand over of keys to owners, which coincided with his 45th birthday celebration was carried out in villages and communities under Mgboko Umuanunu Ancient Kingdom in Obingwa LGA of Abia State.

The communities visited during the commissioning on Friday include: Umuokahia 2, Isikor, Umuhuaba, Umuopara Egbelu, Ekwereazu, Umunkiri, Umuanunu Community, Umuebi and Umuomei.
Speaking at virtually all the communities, Hon Erondu Jnr. in the company of his wife Deaconess Queeneth Erondu, friends and well wishers, party faithful of the People’s Democratic Party, said all the 31 building projects to be commissioned this month, were started between 2015, 2017, adding that he did not commence the projects because he was contesting for an elective position.

He said the projects were borne out of his desire to impart the lives of the people positively, stressing that it is not linked to politics as he never knew the people he built them for while attributing it to God’s divine instruction.
Erondu Jnr. used the opportunity to appeal to those present to endeavour to impart people’s lives, stating that there is ample blessings in giving alms. He said his passion in life has always been to positively put smiles on people’s faces.

The philanthropist during the commissioning, prayed that the purpose of building the houses and handing it over to their owners will be achieved, while also pledging to continue to reach out to other households in dire need of succour, adding that the process is a continuum.
Erondu Jnr. who reiterated that the gesture has no political undertones, also advised people to learn to live their lives for others, maintaining that this virtue has been his greatest asset in life.

In their separate speeches during the hand over, Mr Elijah Emmanuel, Mrs Alice Akobundu, Mr Sylvanus Ogbonna, Mr Monday Makus, Deaconess Lovena Stephen, Mrs Love Chinenye, christian Chikezie, and Mrs Victoria Chikwe, Mrs Florence Lazarus, who were all excited at the gesture, prayed God to continue to strengthen Hon. Erondu Erondu Jnr, just as they acknowledged that he has touched the lives of many.

Newsbuka.com reports that friends and well wishers of Erondu Jnr from different LGAs in Abia State, party faithful, among others, accompanied him during the commissioning while the hand over of the remaining 21 building projects, will continue on Monday, 28th March 2022.
