‘You Possess Anointing, Powers that Can Break Even’, Canon Onuigbo to Christians

Christians have been called upon not to bow to the antics of the evil, just as they cannot fail since they possess the anointing of Christ in them.

Reverend Canon Chike Onuigbo of the Cathedral Church of St. Stephen, Umuahia, Ecclesiastical Province of Aba, Diocese of Umuahia, Anglican Communion, who made the call on Sunday, said anointed servants, possess powers that can break even.

Speaking on the topic captioned “The Good News”, drawn from Isaiah chapter 61 verses 1 to 3, the cleric reminded the congregation that their roles in the Christendom include: bringing hope to the poor cum broken hearted, proclaiming liberty to them.

He added that Christians have the power to also effect change, proclaim years of Gods favour and judgement, comfort the dismayed who murmur as well as bring freedom and strength to those that are bereaved.

Canon Onuigbo who enjoined the congregation not to be dismayed by challenges around them, regretted that Christians do not know what they have, reminding them that the name ” Christian”, comes with much anointing and power.

On the state of the nation, the cleric said Christians do not have any justification to agitate about bad government as they have all it takes to effect change just as he tasked them to do same in the political landscape, by actively involving in the process of electing those to serve.

He concluded by urging them to redouble their efforts in serving God in 2022 by showing greater commitment, dedication in the service of God, and rising to claim all due them in 2022.
