Earlier in his sermon, the cleric in charge of Church of Good Shepherd, Anglican Communion, Ehimiri, Umuahia, Rev Canon Chike Onuigbo in his sermon captioned “God with us”, reminded the congregation that God desires to be with man from time to time.
Drawing inference from Mathew chapter 1 from verse 22 to 23, Rev. Canon Onuigbo said God does not desire that His creations are separated from Him, stressing that he desires constant and regular communion with them.
The cleric said it was regrettable that man has strained God’s relationship with Him, but admonished them to go back to God, reiterating that He is still interested in their affairs as this is justified by Christ’s atonement for their sins on the cross of Calvary.
Rev. Canon Onuigbo, reminded them that except God permits a particular cause, it won’t come to pass, encouraging the congregation that despite the situation of things in the country and the diseases in the land including Omricon COVID-19 variant, God is at the top of the situation.
He assured the congregation that once they are with God and God with them, no arrow of the evil one shall befall them, urging them to remain obedient and resolute as God will perfect all his plans for them and the nation at large while also admonishing them to continue to pray for those in government and for their success in office.
