Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom, has said that the economy of Nigeria was better under President Goodluck Jonathan than it is today.
Emmanuel dropped the hint on Thursday at Government House, Uyo, while speaking at a special luncheon in honour of the former President who was in the state for the annual conference of the Nigeria Environmental Society and the marriage ceremony of the first daughter of his long time friend and fellow pioneer student of the University of Port Harcourt, Professor Richard King.
Emmanuel who recalled the days of Jonathan as President, noted that in all ramifications, Nigeria was better on Jonathan’s watch.
The Governor expressed regret that Nigerians have only realised that they lost an asset after his exit, adding that it is medicine after death.
