The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, on Thursday denied calling for the boycott of the Anambra State governorship election, just about 48 hours to the poll.
A statement by IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful, stated that the group’s main focus is the release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, and not the conduct of the election.
The group reiterated that report claiming it called for a boycott of Saturday’s election is false and unfounded, stressing that it is not interested in the Anambra governorship election.
