Commissioner for Housing, Elder Chinagorom Nwankpa has officially assumed office with a charge on the Staff and Management of the ministry to work as one family in other to succeed in the onerous task on taking the Housing Ministry to an enviable height.
Nwankpa who gave the charge after he was officially handed over by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Mr Thompson Okoro, said he will create an enabling environment and a lasting relationship with the staff as it is the only way to deliver on the mandate shouldered on him by the governor.
He said he will be interfacing with them from time to time to be abreast with the challenges facing them so as to proffer solution where necessary.
The Housing commissioner thanked the Governor of the state Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, for finding him fit to serve and promised not to disappoint the governor.
Speaking the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr Thompson Okoro, said he prayed God to bring a God fearing commissioner who will cooperatively work with the Staff and Management which according to him was answered by the appointment and posting of Elder Chinagorom Nwankpa to the Housing Ministry.
In a vote of thanks the Director of Administration Mr Emma Nwachukwu, appreciated Elder Nwankpa for the promises he made, adding that they will not disappoint him.
