Samuel Ortom, Benue State Governor on Thursday disclosed that the Federal Government incorporated inputs of stakeholders from the states in the National Livestock Transformation Plan.
Ortom who said this in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nathaniel Ikyur, added that he accepted to align with the plan because National Economic Council approved National Livestock Transformation Plan with the input from the state stakeholders.
It would be recalled that the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Agriculture and coordinator of the NLTP, Andrew Kwasari, had said that 22 states, including Benue had expressed interest in the project.
Responding to this, Governor Ortom said in the statement that he had objected to Rug to prevent the Federal Government from grabbing Benue land.
