Anambra State Government has directed schools in the State to hold classes for students on Saturdays following the Monday sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
A circular released by the State Government at the weekend said the Saturday classes for student will allow them make up for lost time.
With the new arrangement, private and public schools in the State are expected to conduct Saturday lessons beginning from 8am to 1pm.
Recall that IPOB had since June 2021, ordered and enforced a sit-at-home every Monday in the South East following the re-arrest of its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
