The death of a 300 level Computer Engineering Student, Emmanuel Nnachi of Michael Okpara University, Umudike, who died Friday morning has been attributed to the negligence, nonchalance, and unprofessionalism of Doctors and Nurses at the Clinic.
A source who pleaded anonymity told newsbuka.com, that Emmanuel was hale and hearty as at Thursday but fell sick and was immediately rushed to MOUAU School Clinic for medical attention.
It was learnt that on reaching the Clinic, the attendants instead of commencing treatment on Emmanuel Nnachi, were reluctant and queried if he had completed payment of his Clinic fee.
According to the source, it was at this point the patient gave up the ghost
Another Student who spoke to newsbuka.com on condition of anonymity, said the attendants at the Clinic are fond of placing premium importance on money instead of treating patients, adding that this is not the first time this kind of incident was happening.
He, however, called on the School Management to beam their searchlight on the attendants that work at the Clinic, stating that they should prioritize peoples lives than money.
Recall that MOUAU has lost Students ensuing from road accidents among other issues.
