The Indigenous People of Biafra has declared as fake report that it declared a three-day sit-at-home starting from Monday (today), Tuesday and Thursday to mark the one year anniversary of the nationwide #EndSARS protests.
In a statement by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, IPOB said it only called for a sit-at-home on Thursday when its detained leader, Nnamdi Kanu, was expected to be arraigned before the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Emma Powerful added that the group had cancelled its weekly sit-at-home when it observed that some people wanted to cash in on it to unleash mayhem on the people of the South-East region.
