Alexander Lacazette’s stoppage time goal helped Arsenal avoid defeat on Monday night as they forced Crystal Palace to a 2-2 at the Emirates Stadium.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put Arsenal in front after just eight minutes. The visitors equalised soon after half-time when sloppy play in the back from Arsenal allowed Christian Benteke to collect the ball, charge into the area and fired a low shot past Aaron Ramsdale to make it 1-1.
Meanwhile, Arsenal had chances after conceding the equaliser, but were soon behind when Odsonne Edouard blasted a shot into the roof of the net past Ramsdale from a rapid-fire Crystal Palace counter-attack.
Lacazette levelled things up with a stoppage time goal as he latched onto a ball at the far post following a goalmouth scramble and shot past Guaita to give Arsenal a point just before the full-time whistle.
