Following increase in police brutality against youth accross the country, the Kogi State Government has said the practice must be kicked against.
A viral video on the internet had shown Police Officers harassing a young man who they allegedly extorted the sum of N25,000 from by forcefully taking him to an ATM.
Meanwhile, the video attracted the attention of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, who immediately directed the Kogi State Commissioner of Police, CP Idrisu Dauda Dabban, to begin probe into the matter.
Reacting to the development, the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo in a statement issued to newsmen on Sunday, stated that the state will follow up the case to ensure justice is served.
